KCJO (Klezmer Company Jazz Orchestra) concerts have featured over 400 pieces of music from the Florida Atlantic University Libraries in Boca Raton since 1997, where music director/accordionist Aaron Kula serves as the library's director of music performance and education. Kula and KCJO perform educational programs, present interactive workshops for teachers, and offer lectures about transforming archival music into performance ready scores. Their programming is multicultural and showcases the library's vast historical print music collections. Inspired by Klezmer, Jazz, Blues, Classical, and the Latin rhythms of South Florida, Kula uses the archival print music as source material for creating new compositions.
